Project oversight (Prostock Studio, n.d.)  🌟 Who am I working with on my project, and how will I be accountable when working with them? As you may know by now, for my project, I will be creating an Animatic about a story of a cloud shepherd and her friendship with an island castaway.   Though I will be creating my animatic solo, I will be and have been collaborating with both a film student and an audio student to help me with script writing and sound.   To manage this, I've been communicating mostly through email to get feedback, send updates, and set up meetings. Likewise, "In a project, communication is vital because the project is a new endeavor for every stakeholder involved. Even if every member of the team has worked together on dozens of projects before this one, every project is unique. Communication is how stakeholders understand what this project is about, how it will affect them, and what role they may be expected to play" (Plowman & Diffendal,

Why does your project exist?

Why does my project exist💭   (Studio Colorido, 2022) "We find meaning in, or give meaning to, such events (in film) by connecting them to other events so that they have a significant place in a narrative framework or causal pattern. Similarly, when we are watching narrative fiction films, we are often left with questions as to why the story took the turn it did at a particular point, or why a character behaved a certain way in a certain scene" (Thomson-Jones, 2008, p. 95 ).   The motive of creating meaning, interpretation and a message is often one of the striving goals for the existence of a film.  It furthermore helps it to differentiate from other films.   This leads me to this week's question:   ⭐ Why will my project stand out, and how will it fit within the larger world of media?   The premise of my role project animatic is to create a story about a lone cloud shepherd who works day and night tending to cloud sheep on a small island. Until one day, a woman gets str

Project Promotion💬   (Built in, n.d.) “Digital marketing offers a more affordable way to reach a broad target audience. It gives marketers data-driven insights on their target audience and their buying behavior” (Mishra, 2020, p.2). Similarly, the question of the week is: ⭐How do I plan to take my project output and self-promote it?  Just like Digital marketing for a business, a person's success in the creative industry can heavily rely on the way they market themselves. Self-promotion is important as it allows an outside audience to acknowledge and consider your work. This opens up opportunities in the workforce as people will know about you and the quality of your work and skills.      For me, I plan to promote my work using my portfolio. I plan to publish my final specialization output on sites like Artsation and Rookies. Both Artstation and Rookies are sites where you can display your work to the public and add information about yourself for employers. However, Artsation is mo

Who is my Target audience and how I plan to target them with my project.

Target Audience👫 (Teamly, n.d.) This Trimester I plan to continue with my story artist role. To do this I will be working towards creating a fleshed out animatic. Likewise, I want to explore my storytelling abilities by creating a story with a deeper character narrative, message, and mood than my past animatics. Henceforth , to make my final project effective I must first consider my audience.   Likewise, this week I will be investing: 🌟 Who is my Target audience and how I plan to target them with my project.   So, then what makes a target audience and why is it important? Well, often when " Movie Makers start creating a new movie [they start by] targeting a specific audience group or groups. Audience age is one of the essential criteria for the target audience . Some movies are created by targeting the junior audience group. Some movies target teenage audiences, [some] target the mid-age and senior audience group, and some movies are for all. Suppose we could predic

Why does my project exist?✐ (Moment Factory, 2021) Why do we make art? To express emotion, advocate, entertain? Whether it's a private notebook sketch or a public art installation there are many reasons for people to express their creativity.   So this leaves me to wonder why do I make art or more accurately:   ⭐Why does my project exist and how is it relevant within the world of media?   Well, my driving premise of my Yagan project is the idea that "Life still grows even under hard circumstances". I decided to do this as my message as I wanted to do something that matched my environmental theme, has narrative potential and is relatable to a wide audience. To recap from other blogs, my idea was to create a seasonal time lapse showing civilization being built while trying to survive the environment's harsh conditions. My intention is to make my audience feel captivated by the contrast of nature in a city environment as well as giving them an opportunity to focus on t

Write up an investigation into the audience you are targeting with your Yagan project and how you plan to target them

Knowing your audience 👥 ( T2informatik, n.d.) Everyone has values. It’s the thing that informs our morals and constructs our attitudes. Likewise, in order to create an effective piece of media our likes and dislikes are often adhered to or even challenged.  This leads me to the question of the week: ⭐Investigate your audience and address how you plan to target them. As I mentioned a week ago my project will be displayed in Yagan square in Perth city. As Yagan is near commuting and food areas it will be visible to a general public. However, the city does cater more towards adults and teens than children as a lot of adults work in the city and teens often hangout in there too. Despite this I plan to keep my project general and family oriented.  In order to cater to this audience I will need to consider their values. Since, “ Values emerge— in human relation with the immediate culturally structured environments” (Valsiner & Branco, 2012,

Capturing Audience Attention🖌    ( McVee, 2016) This Trimester I have been tasked with producing a piece of visual content for public display on the Yagan Tower. Likewise, after some ideating, I've decided that my project will feature a time lapse of seasons as plants and life grow from a deserted place.   Though I've got an idea of what my project will be in order for my project to be successful I'll still need to consider one more thing…   My Audience.   So, who is my audience? Well, the Yagan tower is positioned in t he heart of the Northbridge Perth district near commuting areas. So, it will be seen by everyone who enters the city or passes by. Likewise, my project will cater to a general audience.   Since, my project is for artistic purposes rather than advertising I would equate my project to that of public art more specifically a mural. Murals are illustrations that are often displayed in public areas such as buildings, alleyways, park walls and so o
