Give a detailed response as to how you plan to take your role project output and have it be an effective means of self-promotion for your specialist practice

Project Promotion💬

(Built in, n.d.)

“Digital marketing offers a more affordable way to reach a broad target audience. It gives marketers data-driven insights on their target audience and their buying behavior”(Mishra, 2020, p.2).

Similarly, the question of the week is:

⭐How do I plan to take my project output and self-promote it?

Just like Digital marketing for a business, a person's success in the creative industry can heavily rely on the way they market themselves. Self-promotion is important as it allows an outside audience to acknowledge and consider your work. This opens up opportunities in the workforce as people will know about you and the quality of your work and skills.

For me, I plan to promote my work using my portfolio. I plan to publish my final specialization output on sites like Artsation and Rookies. Both Artstation and Rookies are sites where you can display your work to the public and add information about yourself for employers. However, Artsation is more for professionals and is harder to be seen whereas Rookies is for newcomers to the industry and is easier to be seen.

When creating my portfolio I plan to construct it around my story artist specialization by adding storyboards, animatics, cover illustrations, and story beats. The aim of my portfolio is to show off my visual storytelling capabilities along with my illustration skills and editing. Though my portfolio is currently just the work I have in the future I plan to flesh it out and create more work so it is only my best work. I also want to make sure it is engaging to look and feels professional by creating my own banner and icons.
