  Why does my project exist?✐ (Moment Factory, 2021) Why do we make art? To express emotion, advocate, entertain? Whether it's a private notebook sketch or a public art installation there are many reasons for people to express their creativity.   So this leaves me to wonder why do I make art or more accurately:   ⭐Why does my project exist and how is it relevant within the world of media?   Well, my driving premise of my Yagan project is the idea that "Life still grows even under hard circumstances". I decided to do this as my message as I wanted to do something that matched my environmental theme, has narrative potential and is relatable to a wide audience. Knowing your audience 👥 ( T2informatik, n.d.) Everyone has values. It’s the thing that informs our morals and constructs our attitudes. Likewise, in order to create an effective piece of media our likes and dislikes are often adhered to or even challenged.  This leads me to the question of the week: ⭐Investigate your audience and address how you plan to target them. As I mentioned a week ago my project will be displayed in Yagan square in Perth city. As Yagan is near commuting and food areas it will be visible to a general public. However, the city does cater more towards adults and teens than children as a lot of adults work in the city and teens often hangout in there too. Despite this I plan to keep my project general and family oriented.  In order to cater to this audience I will need to consider their values.
